This Privacy Policy applies to Goalienator, a Meta Quest title developed and published by RunByCoffee.

2 Data Processing & Meta Horizon SDK

Goalienator uses the Meta Horizon Platform SDK to provide platform features on Meta Quest. Goalienator collects and processes information made available through the Meta Horizon platform, including the following information:

• User ID (USER_ID): A unique identifier provided by Meta for the user of Goalienator. It is used to identify the player within the application and associate gameplay activity with the appropriate player.
• User Profile (USER_PROFILE): Information provided by Meta about the user's Meta Horizon profile, such as their display name. This information is used to identify the player within the game and display their name in relevant gameplay or leaderboard features.
• In-Game "Challenges Mode" and Leaderboards: Goalienator's Challenges Mode uses Meta Horizon leaderboards to record and rank player scores. When a player completes a Challenges Mode run, the player's personal high score is submitted to Meta Horizon and recorded on the Goalienator leaderboard. Leaderboard scores and rankings can be viewed in Goalienator and through Meta's leaderboard features in the Meta Quest mobile app. Meta Horizon manages the underlying leaderboard data.
• Friends (feature under development): Goalienator is developing Meta Horizon friend-related features. When these features are implemented, the application will process information about the user's Meta Horizon friends who are also entitled to use Goalienator. This information will be used to provide friend-based gameplay and social functionality.
• Meta Challenges (feature under development): Goalienator is developing support for Meta Horizon Challenges. When this functionality is implemented, challenge-related information will be processed to allow users to participate in score-based competitions and challenges.

RunByCoffee does not operate an independent server or database for storing Meta Horizon user IDs, Meta Horizon profile information, friends lists, or challenge information.

3 How We Use Data

Information provided through Meta Horizon platform features is used to provide functionality within Goalienator. This includes:

• Identifying the current player within the application.
• Displaying the player's Meta Horizon display name.
• Associating gameplay scores with the appropriate player.
• Recording and displaying leaderboard entries and player rankings.
• Providing friend-based gameplay and social features currently under development.
• Providing additional Meta Horizon challenge and score-based competition features currently under development.

4 Meta Horizon Platform

Goalienator uses the Meta Horizon Platform SDK to access platform services. Meta provides and operates the underlying platform infrastructure for features such as user identity, social features, leaderboards, and challenges.

Information processed by Meta through its platform services is subject to Meta's applicable privacy policies and practices. RunByCoffee does not control Meta's processing or retention of information within Meta's platform infrastructure.

5 Unity

Goalienator is developed using Unity. If Unity services such as diagnostics, crash reporting, or analytics are enabled in a particular version of the game, information may be processed by Unity in accordance with Unity's applicable privacy policy.

6 Data Retention

RunByCoffee does not intentionally retain Meta Horizon user IDs, profile information, friends lists, or challenge information in an independent RunByCoffee database.

Information maintained by Meta as part of Meta Horizon platform services is subject to Meta's applicable retention practices and privacy policies.

Local game data stored on the Meta Quest device may remain on the device until it is cleared or the application is uninstalled.

7 Children's Privacy

Goalienator follows the applicable Meta Quest age and platform requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for independent storage or use by RunByCoffee.

Meta Horizon Platform SDK features may have age-based restrictions. Goalienator does not intentionally bypass those restrictions.

8 Your Data Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information.

Information provided and managed through Meta Horizon platform services may need to be managed directly through Meta's privacy and account tools.

If RunByCoffee independently receives or stores personal information, such as information voluntarily provided when contacting support, you may request access to or deletion of that information by contacting us.

9 Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of personal information independently held or processed by RunByCoffee, contact:

Please use the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and provide enough information for us to identify the data associated with your request. We will process the request in accordance with applicable law.

For information maintained by Meta through Meta Horizon platform services, users can manage their Meta account and privacy choices through Meta's privacy tools.

Local game data can also be removed by uninstalling Goalienator or clearing the application's local data on the Meta Quest device, where those controls are available.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, platform integrations, or applicable legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date where appropriate.
